PFC players Evan Powell and Kurt Raney continue their high school team's quest for the State title after their win against Anthony Wayne (Toledo). Mentor on the edge of something great

Hawken rolls to 12th State Final Four berth

Mentor edges St. Edward in dramatic Regional Semifinals (Division I)
Mentor beat St. Ed in double overtime to win 1-0 making it to the Elite Eight. The boys outplayed St. Ed in passing and shooting, but couldn't make the shot in the net happen until the 107th minute. PFC Players Evan Powell and Kurt Raney provided solid offensive and defensive work to get the team to the next stage. Mentor's record is now 16-0-4, including 11 shutouts...Still Undefeated!! The Preppers staked themselves to a 2-0 halftime lead, then steamrolled Marlington in the second half, en route to an impressive 8-0 victory. Besides solid defense work (Ryan Dyke and Josh Wargo), Ryder Bell, Trenton Bulucea and Alex Weisbein all added to the goal count in the game. Avon falls to Mentor at home!
Nice article on our PFC boys at Mentor High's game last night against Avon. Evan, playing in the forward position, had the assist on the third goal, passing a great through ball and also had the final goal off a great pass from Kurt, playing in the holding mid position. Kurt also set up a nice shot to the header, that turned into the second goal. The Mentor boys are still undefeated with an 8-0-4 record, including 7 shutouts.
